Hi, I’m Emily, you're community care advocate and co-conspirator toward equity!

After nearly a decade of teaching experience in at-promise communities in the nation's capital, I saw firsthand the impacts of secondary trauma and compassion fatigue. Paired with my white identity, I was a good person doing harmful things to Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) students, families, and coworkers. My courses are designed to create repair and to facilitate space for fellow members of the helping professions to remove the blindfold of the white supremacy overlay. I am here to walk with you on your ongoing journey through anti-racism, embodied presence, and systems change.

"The way to right wrongs is to turn the light of of truth upon them"
